It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Grant and McLaughlin families regretfully announce the peaceful passing of a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend Anthony Keith Grant of North Charleston, SC peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.  He was proceeded in death by his father, Charles Grant, Sr., and stepfather, John McLaughlin.

Anthony will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His strength was matched by his kindness, unwavering faith, and love for God. With a caring spirit and a heart of gold, he brought comfort, warmth, and wisdom to everyone around him. His legacy will live on through his family and friends.  Though his death was shocking, we take comfort in knowing that God makes no mistakes. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The most precious memories of Anthony Keith Grant will forever resonate in the lives of his mother, Rev. Patricia McLaughlin, daughter, Niesha Sams, grandchildren, Omar Simmons and Nylah Garrett, siblings, Charles Smalls, Lythornia Rencher, Kelvin Hemingway, Miguel Whaley, Marion Smalls, Charles Grant, Jr., Krishna Myers, Krystal Clark, and Sgt. Dillian McLaughlin, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, 11:00AM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 4885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.  A wake on Thursday, September 10, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Midway Baptist Church, 2109 Silver Street, North Charleston, SC 29405, Rev. Gwendolyn Washington, Pastor.  Mr. Grant will be laid to rest in Carolina Memorial Garden, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.  Please keep the Grant and McLaughlin families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
