Remember me, Don't remember me with sadness, Don't remember me with tears, remember all the good times, shared throughout the years, Now I am contented, that my life was worthwhile, Because I know by loving you, That I made you smile! Just because I'm out of sight, Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon, and night.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home, along with the Simmons family, announce the passing of Mr. Anthony Simmons , of St. Mary's, GA., who peacefully departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Clara W. Simmons, his siblings, Geraldine Moultrie and Jeffery Simmons (Jannetta O.), sister-in-law, Yvonne Simmons, brother-in-law, Jerry Johnson.

As we mourn Anthony's passing and celebrate the remarkable legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, laughter, caring and generosity. His spirit lives on in his family and friends, reminding us of the enduring power of family, love, and joy. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will remain forever in our hearts. His legacy will continue to live on through his family and friends. A gentle giant we love so much!

The most precious memories of Mr. Anthony Simmons will forever resonate in the lives of his loving and devoted wife, Juanita Simmons, two caring daughters, Sharica Simmons-Pelzer, and Chantelle Simmons, grandchildren, Kenneth and Deja Pelzer, Gordon Simmons, his siblings, Mark Simmons, Deaconess Mary L.Simmons ( Deacon Elias), Angelia Bryant (Timothy), Antonia Simmons(Samantha), Wardina Johnson and Michael Simmons (Rochelle), two uncles; Dec. Harold Simmons and Rev. Dr. Timothy R.Simmons (1st Lady Pearl C.M), aunts; Theola Simmons, Melinda Weston, and Melissa Williams, in-laws, Ceasar James, Sr. (Annie), Carolyn Simmons, 1st Lady Roneller Capers (Rev. Dr. Alex, Sr.), Edward Simmons (Delores), Mary A. Delesline, Martha Garner (Elder Timothy, Sr), Vonda Nelson (Dec. Maceo. Jr), Thomas Simmons (Lisa), and Kenneth Moultrie, godchildren, Mark A. Simmons, and Minster Katrina Simmons, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

His Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00AM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons,Sr., Pastor.  The wake services will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Mr. Simmons will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
