It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Middleton and Thomas families announce the passing of Mrs. Audrey P. Middleton Thomas , affectionally known as "Auntie, Sister, and Big Red" of Bronx, New York who departed this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Charles and Mrs. Evelyn Middleton, one sister, Mrs. Roberta Ravenel, and one brother, Mr. Charles Middleton, Jr.  Audrey's presence and kindness will deeply be missed by all who knew her.

The most precious memories of Mrs. Audrey P. Middleton Thomas, will resound in the life of her loving and devoted husband of 28 years, Walter Thomas, those of her brothers; Bobby Middleton (Beatrice), of El Paso, Texas, Tommy Middleton (Gwen), Kenneth Middleton, Calvin Middleton, all of South Carolina,  sister, Janice Maxwell (Louis), of Tuskegee, AL, three godsisters, Vermelle Taylor, Denice Rice and Evelyn Spells, niece/ daughter, Ruth Spells (Carl), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dedicated friend and co-worker, Margaret Dale, committed spiritual supporters, Frances "Susan"  Lathom and First Lady Chandler, other relatives, and friends.

A walk through will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 6:00PM-7:00PM, Bethel A.M.E. Church, 1900 Dakota Street, North Charleston, SC 29406.  Her Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00AM, Bethel A.M.E. Church, 1900 Dakota Street, North Charleston, SC 29406.  A viewing will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10:00AM unitl hour of service. NO VIEWING AFTER  FUNERAL SERVICES!!! !  Mrs. Audrey P. Middleton Thomas will be laid to rest in Bethel A.M.E.
