It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Stanley family announces the passing of Mrs. Barbara Stanle y, of North Charleston, SC departed this earthly life to go to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Mrs. Stanley was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church until 1969. In 1969, she married James Stanley, they were blessed with two children, Antonio R. Clinton, Sr., and Brionio Stanley. She became a member of Calvary A.M.E. Church, served on the soup kitchen ministry for many years. She was preceded in death by an adopted son, Antonio R. Clinton, Jr.
The most precious memories of Mrs. Barbara Stanley will resound in the life of her children, Antonio R. Clinton, Sr., (Sharon), of Charleston, SC and Brionio Stanley- Deas (Richard) of Charleston, SC., adopted children, Creonna Clinton, Antoinette R. Clinton, Antonio R. Clinton, Hireem I.G. Clinton (Victoria), Sorori C. Gibbs ( Samuel), all of Charleston, SC and Nikki Mungin, of Savannah, GA, sisters, Henri L. Thompson, Linda Coakley (Bernard), Margaret Bryant , all of Charleston ,SC, Lydia King, of Moncks Corner, SC and one brother, Nathaniel Judge, two sister-in-law, Ann Wallington and Harriet Stanley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A wake will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 5:00Pm-7:00PM, at Calvary A.M.E, Church, 2040 Groveland Avenue, Charleston, SC 29405. Her Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, 12:00PM, at Calvary A.M.E, Church, 2040 Groveland Avenue, Charleston, SC 29405.
