It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home and the Dawson family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Charles K. Dawson of North Charleston, SC departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death; his mother, Annabell Sampson, siblings, Herbert Dawson, Sr., Elijah Dawson, Marie Dawson Slater, and Sabrina Sampson.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. Friends and loved ones will recall Charles for his personal qualities, his warm smile, sense of humor, and compassion. His presence brought comfort and happiness to those around him, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, 11 A.M., Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Pastor.  A viewing will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.  in the chapel.  Interment Private.  Please keep the Dawson family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
