It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Washington family announce the passing of Mrs. Cheryl Laverne Clarke Walters Green , of  Charleston, SC, who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.  A beloved soul who touched the lives of many will truly be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Clarke, and two sisters.

The most precious memories of Cheryl Laverne Clarke Walters Green will resound in the life of her loving husband of 32 years, Anthony Green,  daughters, Natarshia, Shameka (Kinshaba), Shavonne, Donishia (Aidra), and Shavez (Kashawn), sons, James Walters (Zona), and Bryon, nineteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren,  a special aunt and uncle, Beverly and Gleen, seven sister-in-law, nine brother-in-law, bonus daughter, Michelle Fuller (Adrain), special friends, Benjamin Chestnutt, Shirley Scott, Mr. Nat, Annette Richardson, Catherine Rivers (Ms. Baby), Carmen Wilson(Chinky), her dear kitty, Snow Green, a host of family and friends.

Her Celebration of Life service will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, 12PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.  Rev. Keith Thorne, Eulogist.   Her wake service will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, 5:00PM-7:00PM, North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.  Mrs. Green will be laid to rest in Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405.
