I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God has chosen for me.  I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.  I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play, Tasks left undone must stay that way.  I've now found peace at the end of day.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dominique LaShae Cohen , a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and member of our community. She departed from this world on July 13, 2024, at the age of 36, leaving behind cherished memories in the hearts of all who knew her.  She was the daughter of Troy William and the late Emma L. Cohen.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Emma L Cohen, grandmothers, Emma Mae Mack and Claudia Williams, grandfather, the late Rev. Harold Mack, aunts, Barbara Sumter and Debra Williams, and uncles, Kenneth William and Harold Mack Jr.

Dominique leaves to cherish her memories a tapestry of family and friends, each woven with threads of her boundless love and enduring grace: her father, Troy Williams (Amy), her siblings, Terrence Cohen, Ebony Cohen, Troy Cohen, Avery Cohen, Michael Cohen, Brandon Wigfall and Claudia Wigfall (Jermaine), aunts, Debra Matthew's (Ozell), Vernita Snider, Lisa Brown (John), Quetta Coaxum, Reginald Williams (Latrice), Michael Williams, Bernard Williams, Lisa Willams, Tarsha Williams, Timothy Williams (Saundra), Ronay Moore (Vernon); all from Charleston, SC,  her fiancé, Harry, twenty-six nieces and nephews, great niece: Kimila P. Johnson, Godson: Ver'Quale M Jamison(Messiah), a host of cousins and friends are invited to attend her Viewing  on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 6:00PM-8:00PM, in the funeral home chapel.  Her Celebration of Life Services on Saturday, July 27, 2024, 2:00PM, at North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.
