It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Douzart and Edwards families announce the passing of Mr. Donald Ray Douzart affectionally known as "Donnie" who peacefully departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2025.   Donnie was a faithful member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the TR Simmons choir and loved his choir and church family.  Donnie will be missed dearly by his family and friends, his funny sense of humor, kindness, and wisdom touched all who knew him.

The most precious memories of Mr. Donald Ray Douzart will resound in the life of his wife, Charlotte P. Douzart, his children, Angel Douzart and Rihcard Douzart (Carmen), grandchildren, Josiah Mackins, Kylee Drayton, and Kaison Drayton, those of his siblings, Eurgin Earl Douzart, Jr.(Cheryl), Rosemary Douzart Jenkins (Rufus), Katherine Benton, Sarah(Peg)Payne, Ernest Edwards, Diane Edwards, DJ Edwards, Linda, Edwards, Darlene Dennard (Craig), Patricia Edwards, Darrell Edwards, and Judy Mitchell, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405, Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Pastor.   A viewing will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, 5:00PM-7:00PM, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleson, SC 29405.  Mr. Douzart will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Please keep the Douzart and Edwards families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  Arrangements entrusted to: NORTH AREA FUNERAL HOME, 4784 Gaynor Ave, N.
