Smith- Mrs. Doris " Barbara" Major Smith,74, a resident of North Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest Thursday, morning, December 29, 2022.  She was the daughter of the late Willie and Elouise Major, mother of the late Antonio Major.   She leaves to cherish her memories; one sister; Mrs. Earline Mazyck, two brothers; Deacon Walker E. Major (Sylvia), Mr. David Major (Beatrice), other relatives and friends.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Doris " Barbara " Major Smith are invited to attend her walk through on Sunday, January 1, 2023, in North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405 , from 5:00PM-7:00PM.  Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Pastor.  Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 572 Devans Estate Lane, Cross, SC 29436.  Due to COVID-19; everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
