Until we meet Again, those special memories of you will always bring a smile, if only I could have you back for just a while, Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do, you always meant so very much and always will do too, The fact that you're no longer here will always cause me pain, but you're forever in my heart until we meet again.
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home, along with the Mazyck family, announce the passing of Mother Earline Major Mazyck, affectionally known as "Orange Mae" , of North Charleston, SC. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, a dedicated member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Ten Mile Hill community, she peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Mr. Joseph Mazyck.
As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind — a legacy of love, laughter, and faith in God that will remain in our hearts forever.
The most precious memories of Mother Earline Major Mazyck will forever resonate in the lives of her loving children, Floretha Mazyck McFadden, Lnethia Mazyck Grant (James), and Johnny Tucker (Jeanette), one brother, Deacon Walker E. Major, granddaughter of the home, Angela Mazyck Crawford (James), great-grandsons of the home, Kenneth Roger Brown, Jr and Peyton Crawford, grandchildren, Dion McFadden, Chantay Grant, Michael Mcfadden (Simone), Ishmael Grant, Jamese Grant, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors daily from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 5874 Althea Avenue North Charleston SC 29406.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 11:00AM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rives Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Sr., Pastor. Wake services will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rives Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Entombment Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2915 Ashely Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418. Please keep the Mazyck family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
