North Charleston - Mother Evelina Brown Simmons gained her wings on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  Mother Evelina leaves a loving bond with her children: Minister Rosemary Wilson, Oscar Simmons, Jr. (Elkanah), (Mahlikiyah), Bishop Floyd Simmons, Gary Simmons, and Vernon Simmons(Gail), her sister; Mary Cheatham, sisters-in=law; Susie Brown, Janie Lee Deas, Theola Simmons, Melissa Weston, and Melinda Weston, brothers-in-law; Deacon Harold Simmons and Reverend Dr. Timothy R. Simmons(Pearl), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.

The relatives and friends of Mother Evelina Brown Simmons are invited to attend her walk through on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Pastor.  She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Due to COVID-19; everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
