It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Myers and Ravenel family announces the passing of Mrs. Faye Jane Myers, 83, affectionally known as, "Rena ", of North Charleston, SC, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 10, 2024. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Melvin Henry and Lillie Mae Ravenell, one daughter, Rose Marie Ravenel Doctor Aiken, siblings: Sarah Ravenel, Shirley Mae Mack, Melvin Jr, (Rab), Olin Sr (Loretta Ravenel), and David Ravenel. She will be missed dearly by family and friends, her loving and giving spirit, heart of gold, and mother figure to everyone she met. The most precious memories of Mrs. Faye Jane Myers will resound in the life of her grandson, Marlon Maurice Ravenel, of Charlotte, NC; grand-daughter, Kacrema Marie Doctor, of Cainhoy, SC, two-great- grandsons, Jammal Avery Alston, and Levii Kaivion Herbert, two brothers; Daniel Melvin Ravenel (Shirley), and Phillip W. Ravenel (Hawanatu), of Goose Creek, SC, five sisters, Martha Williams, of Brooklyn NY, Mary Anne Moore, of Manhattan , NY, Jessie Mae Green (Charles), of Hopkins, SC, Barbara Jordan (Rumel),of North Charleston, SC, and Jeanette Ravenel of Hinesville, GA, three aunts, Ruth Rollins, and Altheia Adams , of Maryland, and Hatti Waring of South Carolina, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 18, 202418, 2024, from 5:00-7:00PM, in the funeral home chapel. Her Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00AM, Lovely Mountain Baptist Church, 6798 Ward Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Rev. Curtis Dayson, Pastor Mrs. Myers will be laid to rest in Johnson Cemetery, 7136 Stall Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. Arrangements entrusted to: NORTH AREA FUNERAL HOME, 4784 Gaynor Ave, N.
