It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Murphy family announce the passing of Mr. George Allen Murphy , who peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 17. 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Murphy and Evelyn Johnson Murphy.

The most precious memories of Mr. George Allen Murphy will resound in the life of his loving and devoted wife, Angel Williams- Murphy, stepson, Adrian Williams, two aunts, Corine Ackles, of California and Elzabeth Dobrski, of Ohio, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Murphy will be missed dearly by his family and friends, his funny sense of humor, kindness, and wisdom touched all who knew him.

His Celebration of Life service will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Bethel A.M.E Church, 1900 Dakota Street, North Charleston, SC 29405, Rev. Larry Steven, Pastor.   A viewing will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, 4:00PM-6:00PM, in the funeral home chapel.  Mr. Murphy will be laid to rest in Bethel A.M.E.
