It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Smith family, regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Tolbert Smith ,of Charleston, SC departed this life on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by family.   Gloria will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Friends and loved ones will recall Gloria for her unwavering faith and trust in God, until He whispered, "Come home, my child—you have fought a good fight and finished your course. Now here is your reward."

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, 2026, at Noon, Ebeneezer AME Church, 44 Nassau Street, Charleston, SC 29403.  A viewing will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, 11:00AM-12:00PM.  Interment Hillsboro Brown Cemetery.  Please keep the Tolbert and Smith family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
