It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home and the Murray family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Ida Louise Murray of North Charleston, SC departed this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Riverside Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death, by her parents, Henry Murray, Sr., and Clara Grant Murray, siblings, Charlotte Broomfield, Henry Murray, Jr, niece, Janet Murray, and nephew, Darnell Murray.

Ida will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Friends and loved ones will recall Ida for her personal qualities, her warm smile, sense of humor, and compassion. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

The most precious memories of Ida Louise Murray will forever resonate in the lives of her sons, Rodriquez "Rico" Murray, and Ranil Murray, grandchildren, Mi'Amor Murray and Jerico Murray, siblings, Evang. Jennie Poole (Jerry, Sr.,) of Durham, NC, Betty Murray Davis, of Columbia, SC, Robert L. Murray (Donna), of Sumter, SC, uncle, Dr. Samuel Murray, of St. Albans, NY, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Noon, North Palm Community Church, 7176 Bryhawke Circle, North Charleston, SC 29418.  A walk-through will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM, in funeral home chapel. Mrs.  Marray will be laid to rest in Johnson Cemetery, 7136 Stall Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.  Please keep the Murray family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
