It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Holmes family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of a loving and devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend James M. Holmes , III of North Charleston, SC peacefully departed this life on Sunday, July 5, 2026,

James M. Holmes, III is survived by, Petrina McZeke, Leeann Bunce, Larry Holmes, Sarah Holmes, Cheryl Holmes, and Krystal Holmes, children, Jamiah Holmes, James Melvin Holmes IV, Janyla Holmes, Jamar Holmes, and Javeah Holmes, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:30PM in the funeral home chapel.
