It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Givens family announce the passing of Mr. John F. Givens , of Ladson, SC who departed this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.  He was the belove son of, the late Reverend James T. and the late Reverend Hattie Mae Givens.  A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. John was known for his generosity and sense of humor. He was proceeded in death by, his parents, and four siblings.

The most precious memories of Mr. John F. Givens will resound in the life of his wife, Jennifer R. Givens, his children, Frankie, Patricia "Princess", and Thomas, his stepchildren, Ashely, Alisha, and Alexis, proud grandfather of ten, and great-grandfather of five, those of his siblings, Woodrow (Marie), Nathaniel, Helen (Anthony), and Micheal, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends.

His memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 1:00PM, in North Area Funeral Home Chapel. 4784 Gaynor Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406.  Please keep the Givens family in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
