It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home, along with the Samuels family announce the passing of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose life was defined by love, laughter, and generosity, Mrs. Lena Samuels, of Summerville, SC., peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love that will remain in our hearts forever.

The most precious memories of Mrs. Lena Samuels will forever resonate in the lives of her loving children, Cheryl Chaplin (Ernest), Charlette Butler, Dionne Rollerson, Jermaine Rollerson, and Levar Rollerson, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, Darmon Smalls, Jacqueline Townsend, and Pamela Bulter, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00AM, Emanuel Baptist Church, 106 Boone Street, SC 29483, Rev. John T. Miller, Pastor.  Wake services will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, 5:00PM-8:00PM, Emanuel Baptist Church, 106 Boone Street, SC 29483,.  Mrs. Samuels will be laid to rest in Sand Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1961 Summers Drive, Ridgeville, SC. 29472.
