It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Richburg family announces the passing of Mr. Leon Alfred Richburg, 79 , entered eternal rest on Friday, March 14, 2025, in Columbia, SC.  He was the son of the late William and the late Rachel Jenkins of (Union Heights) Charleston, SC. Leon was proceeded in death by; his parents, William and Rachel Jenkins, his beloved son, Marteen L.A. Strong, sisters, Catherine Rollerson, Barbara Ann (Mother) Robinson, Angelina Jenkins, Vera Jenkins-Drayton, Delanor Jenkins, William Jenkins, Jr., Delaine Jenkins, and Myrtle Mae Richburg Linnen.

Leon is survived by his children; Keya West, Tiajuana Richburg, and Monica Richburg Hill (Jerry), grandchildren; Kierra West, Quinta' Richburg, Kianne Singleton (Dakao), Kentera Carson, Dominique Floson (Malike), Eric West, Jr., Jerrika Hill, Jerryana Hill, Jamyah and Skylar Richburg, eleven great grand-children, his siblings, Veronica (Teeny) Mitchell and Tyrone Jenkins, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends..  The Memorial Service for Mr. Leon Alfred Richburg will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 3:30PM, in the North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.  Please keep the Richburg family in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
