He always takes the best, he saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, Peace be thine, broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Mr. Lernard S. Thornton, Sr.,68, resident of Newark, Delaware who entered eternal rest on Friday, April 5, 2024.
The relatives and friends of Mr. Lernard S. Thornton, Sr., his wife, Mrs. Penzola "Penny" Milton Thornton, his children; Mrs. Latrelle Watkins (Khalif), and Mr. Lernard S. Thornton, Jr., siblings; Mrs. Janice Hagler and Mrs. Erica Jenkins-Singleton, nieces, nephews, cousins, are invited to attend his committal services on Monday, April 22, 2024, 11:00AM, Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery, 3715 Azalea Dr, North Charleston, SC 29405, No visitation.
