It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Birch family announce the passing of Mr. Leroy Wine Birch , affectionally known as "Johnny" ,of Goose Creek, SC, who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from labor to his heavenly reward. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin,friend, and dedicated member of Shiloh AME Church.  A beloved soul who touched the lives of many by lending a helping hand, never complaining, and sharing love through God's word.  He was preceded in death by his bilogical parents, John Cash and Annabel Birch, parents, Peter and Joanna Hines, two children, Shana Birch and Nehemiah Williams, Sr., son-in-law, Jacquinn Arline, granddaughter, Sade Tyler, siblings, Robert Birch, Emily Rose, and Virginia Birch.

The most precious memories of Mr. Leroy Wine Birch will resound in the life of his loving wife of 41 years, Mattie Birch, children, Tina Tyler, Sergio L.K. (Sharron) Williams, and Yvette Williams-Arline, eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, siblings, Eddie Birch, Angelena Coach, Gloria (Basil) Lawes, Corrine Birch Perkins, Cynthia Birch, Lavern Birch Green,and Henry Birch, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  The family will receive guests at 1120 Thurgood Road, Goose Creek, SC, from Wednesday, November 5 thru Friday, November 14, 2025 from 3:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday, November 15, 2025 after interment.

His Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11AM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, Eulogist Rev. Eugene Collins. His wake service will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
