Grant - Deacon Leroy Edward "Eddie" Grant, Jr.78, a resident of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 11, 2022.  He was of the son of the Late Martha Ann Martin Grant and the Late Leroy Edward "Eddie Hamp" Grant, Sr., and the Late Cleveland Wigfall (stepfather).

He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Melinda W. Grant, those of his children; Edwin "Hog" Johnson , Vincent Blaine, Felicia Grant-Taylor (Lennox), Edward Mugin, Crystal Mugin, Tira Martin, Teomie Drayton, A'mie Clarkson,  and Sheryl Kelly, one goddaughter; Lashanna Pinckney(Marq),seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, his siblings; Gail Davis, Richardine Tisdale, Blondell Coast, Mildred Richardson, Minster Patricia McLaughlin, Deloris Grant, and Rev. Gwendolyn Washington (Randy), Leonard "Speedy" Richardson,  Joseph Wigfall, Anthony Wigfall, and Richard Whaley(Bubba), in-laws; Blease Bethea (Sheila), Dorethea Bethea, Mary Woods (Eric), Margaret Cromwell, Willie Lawson, and Robert Bethea (Enda), other relatives, and friends.

The relatives and friends of Deacon Leroy Edward "Eddie" Grant, Jr are invited to attend his walk through on Friday, December 16, 2022, in North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405, from 5:00PM-7:00PM.  His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Baptist Center, 2026 Jacksonville Road, North Charleston, SC 29405.  Mr. Grant will be laid to rest in Brownville Cemetery, Summerville, SC.  Due to COVID-19; everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
