It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Doctor family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend Lilian Singleton Doctor, 79, of North Charleston, SC transition from labor to reward on October 2, 2026, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband Deacon Clyde Doctor.

Lillian will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her She was a woman of faith who encouraged her family to develop and maintain a personal relationship with God. Through her love, kindness, wisdom, and devotion, she touched the lives of many and created memories that will be cherished by generations. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to live on through her family and friends. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we find comfort knowing that she is resting peacefully in the loving arms of God. Pleasant, SC, Tracie Allen (Ernest), of Charlotte, NC, and Pamela Doctor-Claridy (Michael), of North Charleston, SC., grandchildren, great- grandchildren, siblings, Allen Singleton, and Angela Singleton, sisters-in-law, Mable Livingston, Theresa Baskerville (George), Vivian Owens, Brenda Outley(Willie), and Annette Doctor, other relative, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00AM, Morris Street Baptist Church, 25 Morris Street, Charleston, SC 29403. A wake will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM, in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Doctor will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Garden, 2915 Ashely Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418.
