It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home and the Richardson family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Louise Richardson, of Charleston, SC, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Riverside University System, Moreno Valley, CA.

Louise was a family-oriented woman who cherished her family and friends. A devoted mother and wife, she was also deeply involved in her church community. She offered encouraging words to everyone she met and often followed them with a lighthearted joke that brought a smile.

Though we grieve for her loss, we give thanks for a life well lived and for the memories she leaves behind.

The most precious memories of Louise Richardson will forever resonate in the lives of her mother; Quinnie L. Gilliard, two lovely children; Michelle Lavette Wright (Tony) and Howard Anton Prioleau (Lushandra), two sisters; Claudia Pugh and Cheryl Blevins, two brothers; Matthew C. Gilliard II (Andrea) and Arthur Maybank, Her grands; Jalin Prioleau, Michelle Prioleau, Alonzo J Wright Jr, Jordan James, Howard Juwan Prioleau, Hasaitah Prioleau, Ariel Prioleau, Quentin Wright (Gabriel), Darius Wright, and Alondre Wright. Great grands; Keilana Wright, Kennedy Wright, Alesha Hamilton, Atlee Wright, Greyson Wright, Kingston Wright, Jadin Prioleau, Khai Prioleau and Aiden Prioleau. A special aunt; Pearlene Dawson (Jose), sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, special friends; Barney Blakeney and Sarah Ford and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, 1:00PM, Greater Trinity AME Church, 677 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
