It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our sister and aunt Mrs. Mary Huff Carson , 69, a resident of North Charleston, SC  passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023.  She was the daughter of the Late Roosevelt Huff, Sr., of Jackson, Mississippi, and Mrs. Alice Legare Huff, of Moncks Corner, SC.   She attended Daniel Jenkins Elementary and Bonds Wilson High School.  She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E Church, North Charleston, SC.  She was united in holy matrimony to the Late Nathaniel "Tanny" Carson on March 18, 1978, who was the love of her life.  She was also a member of the Elk and Sunsetter Lodge. She enjoyed cooking and knitting for family and friends.  She was proceeded in death by her siblings; David Boone, Joan Huff, Earl Huff, William Huff and Elizabeth Heyward (Samuel).

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters; Eldora Huff and Jammie Cuttino (Ricky), three brothers; James Legare (Daisy), of Moncks Corner, SC, Morris Boone (Daisy), of Richmond, VA and Roosevelt Huff, Jr., (The late Sonya), nine nephews; Terrence (Ineke), Joseph, Samuel, Jr.(Diana), Mark(Wilma), James, Jr.(Lynn), Vergil, Ricky, Jr. (Chancy), Marcus, and Caleb, eleven nieces; Michelle(Paul), Pamela, Janice, Jennifer(Willie), Vera(Delano), Sonya, Lynn, Megan, Rebecca, Keisha, and Alice, and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, and other relative and friends.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mary Huff Carson are invited to attend her walk through on Friday, February 10, 2023, in North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405, from 6:00PM-8:00PM.  Her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 11:00AM, in North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.
