It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Singleton family announce the passing of Mr. Matthew J. Singleton, Jr. , of Ladson, SC, who peacefully departed this life on Monday, December 8, 2025.  As we remember Matthew, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will continue to inspire us. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us to spread the same warmth and joy he so generously shared. He preceded in death by his father, Matthew J. Singleton, Sr. and nephew, Pierre A. Keupp.

Matthew survives by his devoted mother, Edeltraud (Angel) Singleton, who nurtured him with unwavering love. His son, Aleksander Singleton, and daughter, Jasmine Singleton, along with their mother, Holly Howard, will carry forward his spirit and the lessons he imparted. His beloved spouse, Kayee Singleton, will hold dear the moments they shared, while his son, Bryce, along with Elsa Smalls and their daughter, Indya Smalls, will remember him fondly. Matthew's three youngest sons, Marius, Kayden, and Niko Singleton will always look up to their father's memory as a guiding light in their lives. He is also survived by his brother, Pierre H. Keupp, and sister-in-law, Sylvia, who will remember him as a cherished sibling and friend. Matthew's legacy extends to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, all of whom were touched by his kindness and warmth. Additionally, he leaves behind countless close friends who experienced the joy of his laughter and the comfort of his presence.

His Celebration of Life service will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, 11AM, in the funeral home chapel., Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Eulogist.
