You Never Said Goodbye

You never said I'm leaving. You never said goodbye. You were gone before I knew if. And only God knew why. A million times I needed you. A million times I cried, If love alone could have saved you. You never would have died, In life I loved you dearly. In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place. That no one could ever fill. It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone. For part of me went with you. The day God took you home.

It's with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of a daughter, niece, and friend, Ms. Melissa D. Fields Copeland, of North Charleston, SC entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She is the beloved daughter of, Veronica Fields, niece of; Min. Patricia F. Newman (Robert), of Virginia Beach, VA, Onethia J. Maxey, Goose Creek, SC, Gary J. Johnson of Covington, GA, Clara Mae Johnson, of Goose Creek, SC, Deacon Charles Maxey, of Charleston, SC, and Sarah Johson, of Walterboro, SC, other relatives and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life service on Monday, November 20, 2023, 11AM, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 7396 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, she will lie in state in the church from 10:00AM until hour of service for viewing. Mrs. Copeland will be laid to rest in Johnson Cemetery,7136 Stall Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
