It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Gathers family announces the passing of Mr. Michael Anthony Gathers, 65, of Charleston, SC entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 21, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Gathers, Sr., and Martha Lee Gathers

The most precious memories of Mr. Gathers will resound in the life of his siblings, Samuel Gathers, Jr. (Yvonne), Marian Gathers, Miriam Gathers,nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A wake will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM, in the funeral home chapel.  His Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 12 Noon, in the funeral home chapel.
