It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Huggins family announce the passing of Mrs. Minnie Laurel Wright Huggins lovingly known as "Micki" , of Charleston, SC who peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, 2025.  A beloved soul who touched the lives of many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Bacote and Marie Martin, a daughter, Michelle Yvonne Huggins, and a special friend, James Robert Perry, Jr.

The most precious memories of Mrs. Minnie Laurel Wright Huggins will resound in the life of her daughter, Sharon R. Blake (Isiah, Jr.), twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Her Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11 AM, in the funeral home chapel.  A walk through will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, 5:00PM-7:00PM, in funeral home chapel.
