It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home and the McCoy family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Norma Jane McCoy of N. Charleston, SC, on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she was known for her beautiful smile, kindness and care of family, friends, and the community.  We mourn her loss, but we are grateful for a life filled with love, laughter, and memories we will always treasure.

The most precious memories of Norma Jane McCoy will forever resonate in the lives of her children, Bryant McNeil Jr., and April McNeil, grandchildren, Nakia McCoy, Shakeya Lee, Bryant (LB) McNeil, Tibriya McNeil, Daquan McNeil, Brooklynn McNeil, Alicia Lee, Bryson McNeil, great children, Richard Hazel III, Amaure Hazel, Joriden McCoy, Ashton Drayton, and La'Niyah Lee, siblings, Arnold McCoy, Cordelia Laboard, Joann McKenzie, Faith McCoy, Charles Porter, Victoria Jordine, Troy Porter, all of New Jersey, Dawn Simmons, Highpoint, NC, and Charles Myers, of Charleston, SC, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives., a special devoted friend, Gypsy Creasman, and friends.

A celebration of life service will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 12:00PM, North Area Funeral Home Chapel.
