It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend Mr. Pernell Deron Whitfield, 60, transition from labor to reward Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in North Charleston,SC.  He leaves to cherish his fond memories; his wife, Melodye Whitfield, of Cumming, GA, children, Myles D. Whitfield, of Washington, DC, Myesha Whitfield, of Palmetto, GA, and Kiziah Thomas of Cumming, GA, parents; Rev. Silvester Lee and Mrs. Mary Louise Whitfield, siblings, Marsha Whitfield, of Goose Creek, SC, and LaShell Fayall Thurman, of Goose Creek, SC, other relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life services on Thursday, May 16, 2024, 10:00AM, Victory Baptist Church, 1291 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29405.  Mr. Whitfield will lie in state from 9:00am until hour of service.
