It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home and the Evans family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Robert "Sip" Evans of Charleston, SC, on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was the son of the Late Alan Brown and Gloria Evans.

A devoted son, brother, father, and friend whose love, strength, and compassion left a lasting mask on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

The most precious memories of Robert "Sip" Evans will forever resonate in the lives of his children, Adrian Thompson, Robert Thompson, and Shawn Thompson, siblings, Alen Evans and Perry Evans, Larecha Powell (Maurice) and Laurie Manigault (Melvin, Sr.).  Robert, aunts: Cassandra Geneva and Georgiana Carolyn; uncles: Marion Robinson, Ricky Major (Doris), Thomas Major (Cathy), and Brad and Norman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, 1:00PM. A viewing will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026,  11:00AM-1:00PM in the funeral home chapel.  Please keep the Evans family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
