It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Gibbs family regretfully announce the peaceful passing of a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend Robert E. Gibbs of North Charleston, SC peacefully departed this life on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Robert will be deeply missed and forever remembered. He lived with love and faith, placing his trust in God through every season of life. His legacy will continue to live on through family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 11:00AM at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 3317 Meeting Street, North Charleston, SC 29405, Rev. Dr. Bernard Brown, Pastor.  A wake will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 3317 Meeting Street, North Charleston, SC 29405.
