It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Dent family announce the passing of Deaconess Rosa B. White Dent, 85, of Charleston, SC passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was affectionately known as "Grandnell" and "Nell." Mrs. Dent resided at 3115 Conservancy Lane in Charleston, South Carolina.  Deaconess Dent was a faithful worker and Church Mother at Grace Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Wilhelmena Glover White, husband, Deacon Harry Dent, Sr., daughter, Carolyn V. Dent, son, Tyrone L. Dent, brothers, Richard Archie Glover (Lottie Mae), and Leroy White (Carol), sisters: Dorothy Conception (Angel), Rosemary White, Richard White, Viola Simmons, Edith Mitchell, and Mamie Mitchell.

The most precious memories of Deaconess Rosa B. White Dent , will resound in the life of her children, Min. Esther Cindy Frazier (Late Vernon), First Lady Harriet D. Bonaparte (Rev. Dr. Alvin, Sr., ThD), SFC.  Harry Dent, Jr. (Brenda), and Deaconess Shirley Stokes (Deacon Allen), grandchildren: Min. Savetria Bonaparte Wilson (Vincent),  Crystal Dent (Deacon Stanley), Deacon Alvin Bonaparte Jr. (Min. Tasha), Missionary Simone Dent McFadden (Michael), Travis Bonaparte (Jessica), Kerry Frazier (Jessica), Harry Dent III (TyJura), Dextrina Ford, and SSG. Joshua Dent (Raina), great-grandchildren, Lyrick Dent, Rheygan Reed, Kaci Bonaparte, Kaleb Bonaparte, Tiyanna Henton, Mya McFadden, Princeton Bonaparte,Skye Frazier, and Jaia Dent, great-great grandchild, Kaz'Mere Page, siblings,  Mildred Louise Brown (Harry Sr.), Gladys Wright (The late Robert Sr.), Rev. Thelma Wright (The Late David), Rev. Robert K. White (Min. Carolyn), Carl Tony White, and Glenn Murray White, In-laws, Mel Best (Vernon), James Higgins (Barbara), Archie Higgins (Ingrid), Stevie Higgins (Kathy), Roger Higgins (Ruth), special sons: Matthew Myers and Deacon Jerone Gibbs (Valarie), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, also mourn her passing.

Her Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 12:00PM, at Lovely Hill Baptist Church, 670 Bear Swamp Road, Johns Island, SC 29455.  A wake will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, 6:00PM-8:00PM, at Grace Chapel Baptist Church, 5830 Hwy-174, Hollywood,SC 29449. Deaconess Rosa B. White Dent will be laid to rest in Faith St. Paul Cemetery, 5332 Old Miltary Road, Adams Run, SC 29426.
