It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of our mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and a devoted member of Oak Grove Missionary Church, Mrs. Sharon E. Maxwell , 60, resident of Dorchester, SC transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.  Mrs. Sharon will truly be missed by all; her encouraging words, check-in calls,  heartfelt hugs, smiling face, and welcoming spirit to everyone. She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving and devoted children: Gerald, Sherika, and Kenyatta Maxwell, five grand-children; Ahmirez Dixon, Quamere Maxwell, Talyah Miller, Janae Maxwell, and Karson Maxwell; her mother, Mary Francis Lewis (George); step-mother, Shirley H. Brown; siblings: Rodney Edwards (Marie), Karen Morrison (Curtis), Anetha Washington, Thomas Brown, Tamiko James, and Shawnetta Washington, one aunt, Agnes Rogers, other relatives and friends.

The relatives and friends of Mrs. Sharon E. Maxwell are invited to attend her walk through on Friday, January 6, 2023, North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405 , from 5:00PM-7:00PM.  Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, 11:00AM, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Pastor. Mrs. Maxwell will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Due to COVID-19; everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
