It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Howard family announce the passing of Mr. Theodore Howard, affectionally known as "Big Rock", 93 , of 247 Camellia Bloom Drive, Moncks Corner, SC, who peacefully departed this earthly life on Friday, October 17, 2025. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as trustee emeritus, and a member of the Male Choir.  A beloved soul who touched the lives of many. He will be missed by all who knew him, a loving and giving spirit, words of encouragement, and a patriarch in the Midland Park community.  His legacy will continue to live on through his family and friends.

The most precious memories of Mr. Theodore "Big Rock" Howard will resound in the life of his daughter, Minster Olga Gordon, two grandsons, Davonte Simmons (Danyelle), and Solomon Gordon, great grandchildren, Ne'Veyah Prizzie, Serenity and King Simmons, siblings, James Howard, and Idell Howard-Turner (George), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends  The family will receive friends, at 247 Camellia Bloom Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 3:00pm-7:00pm, Monday, October 20, 2025 thru Thursday, October 23, 2025  from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

His Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12 PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Simmons, Sr., Pastor. His wake services will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5885 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
