It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, the Management and Staff of North Area Funeral Home along with the Johnson family announce the passing of Sgt. Tommie Juner Johnson , who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Agape Hospice Center in Summerville, SC. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Buster and Geneva Johnson, his siblings, William Leroy Johnson, Eddie Lee Johnson, Victoria Jones, and Bertha Lee Johnson, and his son, Tommie J. Johnson, Jr (Alitha). Tommie's life was one of service, love, and strength. His presence will be deeply missed, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The most precious memories of Sgt. Tommie Juner Johnson , will resound in the life of his loving and devoted wife, Beverly Johnson, son, 1st Class Sgt. O'Shawn Johnson (Yevonne), of Germany, daughter in love, Alitha Johnson, of Goose Creek, SC, his grandchildren, Ariel Johnson and Andrew Johnson, of Germany, step-grandchildren, Raja Williams, Aidyn, Prynce and Givanni Taylor, those of his siblings, Sandra Thompson (David), , Ernest Johnson, and Cornelious Johnson(Tina), all of Cross, SC, brother in law, Roy Jones, Montell Johnson, a host of cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
His Celebration of Life service will take place on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 12 Noon, Antioch Holliness Church, 1405 Old Hwy 6 Cross, SC, Pastor Jessie Reid. A viewing will take place from 11AM until hour of service. Sgt. Johnson will be laid to rest in Pineville Sunset Memorial Cemetery, in Pineville, SC.
