Troy Patrick Quarles was born on November 20, 1967, in Charleston, South Carolina, and his life journey ended on June 27, 2024 in Los Angeles, California, SC. Troy worked as an assembly engineer for most of his life. He also served as a street minister, ensuring that people experiencing homelessness received the necessities they needed, along with the Word of God. Troy had a loving and generous heart. He never met a stranger, and his kindness earned him many friends throughout the community. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Thadeaus J. Latten.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, **Dr. Sandra L. Quarles-Green**; a son and daughter, Ramon and Shaqualla; three granddaughters, Jamine, Janihah, and Shadah, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Services for the late Mr. Troy Patrick Quarles will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the North Area Funeral Home Chapel, 4784 Gaynor Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.  A repass will be held following the services at The Baptist Educational Center, 2026 Jacksonville Road, North Charleston, SC 29405.
