Ladson, SC;  Walker- Mr. Virgil Carroll Walker entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 14, 2020.  He was born March 27, 1952 in Moncks Corner SC; son of Annie L Pipkin and Alvin S Walker; husband of Susan A Etling Walker for forty-three years; two sons Ronald Swackhamer of Jedburg SC, and Danny Carroll(Donna Daniels) Walker of Florence, SC; two brothers William Bunch of Georgetown, SC, and Paul Bunch of St. Stephens SC; two granddaughters Bailey and Brooklyn Swackhamer of New Jersey, a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Walker was  predeceased by his loving parents and two sisters Sissy Lambert and Patricia Wright. He was employed at the Coastal Center in Ladson, SC, Charleston County Jail, and a security guard at various places for over twenty years. Mr. & Mrs.Walker were foster parents for ten and a half years at Mentor Agency; where he touched many children lives. Mr. Carroll worked as a volunteer with the Berkeley County Sheriff's office to establish the Neighborhood Watch and Patrol for his community Crowfield Village in Ladson, SC for the last thirteen years. He spent countless hours patrolling the community to help keep his community safe. Mr. Virgil Carroll Walker was a wonderful person, truly loved by many and will be greatly missed.
