When I Must Leave You

When I must leave you for a little while. Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you Through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name , Live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer, And I in turn will comfort you, And hold you near. And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky!

It's with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of a son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Mr. Walter Lee Jant, Jr., 69, of North Charleston, SC transition from labor to reward on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, Deacon Walter Jant, Sr., and Mary Jant.  He leaves to cherish his fond memories; three loving and devoted children;  Ondreta Jackson, Walter Jant, and Travis Jant, eight grandchildren, his siblings; Sharon Jant Williams (Thomas), Rosalyn Brewer (Harold), Vincent Jant (Tracie), and Earl Moultrie (Marya), one uncle, Hollings Scott (Susanne), a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life service on Monday, December 18, 2023, 12:00 Noon, Charity Missionary Baptist Church, 1544 East Montague Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.   A Walk Through will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 5:00PM-7:00PM in the funeral home chapel.  Mr. Jant will be laid to rest in Springwood Cemetery,1123 Oakland Drive, Cross, SC 29434.    Due to COVID-19; everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  Arrangements entrusted to: NORTH AREA FUNERAL HOME, 4784 Gaynor Ave, N.
